Concrete removal in Kerman is Neal hauling away the broken concrete a project left behind. Neal owns Trash N Dash Junk Removal and takes jobs in Kerman and across the Central Valley. The pile shows up as dozens of heavy chunks, and it usually sits out back where the old patio or walkway used to be.
Those pieces have to go somewhere, and every piece goes into Neal's 12-yard dump trailer with the Trash N Dash logo. Some tear-outs leave more than concrete. If drywall, lumber and old fixtures came out with the slab, that mix is covered on the construction debris removal page. The concrete itself means slab pieces, broken steps, old concrete pavers and the gravel and dirt that come up with them.

What a concrete pile usually holds
Most of a concrete pile is broken slab. Most of it is pieces of an old patio or a sidewalk square that heaved up. Concrete pavers and block from a short garden wall end up in the same heap. Rebar or wire mesh often sticks out of the edges. Dirt and gravel usually pack in around the bottom, since they came up with the slab.
That sets it apart from the other jobs Neal does. A furniture or appliance pickup is a few big items. A concrete pile is many small, heavy ones. Unlike a cleanout, it is usually one material sitting in one part of the yard.
The people who call for it are usually in the middle of a project. A homeowner may have broken up the patio to put in a lawn. A rental manager may need an old walkway gone before the new one is poured. The pile is usually in the way of the next step, like sod going down or forms going in for a new walk.
What hauling a concrete pile costs
Neal prices a concrete pile from a photo. He looks at how much room the broken pieces will take on the truck and gives one number for the whole job. The minimum is $85.
Nothing is added on top of that number. Carrying chunks out of a backyard does not cost extra, and neither does rebar sticking out of the slab. The dirt and gravel packed around the bottom of the pile go into the same number.
A good photo helps Neal size it right. Stand a few steps back so the whole pile fits, and keep a trash can or a fence post in the frame for scale. If more broken concrete sits around the side of the house, send that too so the one number covers all of it. The junk removal pricing guide for Kerman explains how a load gets sized.
What stays behind on a concrete job
Concrete is the job. What stays off the truck is the other stuff that tends to collect near a tear-out. Half-used cans of paint, concrete sealer and other solvents or chemicals are refused. A bucket of old patio stain counts here too. So do propane tanks from an old patio grill and any other pressurized tank. Medical waste, firearms and ammunition stay off the truck too, so set anything like that away from the slab before pickup.
Asbestos is refused as well. If old flooring, siding or pipe wrap came out along with the slab and might hold asbestos, keep it out of the pile and say so in the text.
How Neal gets broken slab out of the backyard
Nothing has to be dragged to the curb. Neal carries the concrete out from where it sits, even when that is behind the garage or down a narrow side yard. If some slabs are still in big sections, say so in the text so the price fits the load. If the broken concrete sits in more than one spot, like part by the fence and part behind the shed, send a photo of each.
The path out matters more on a concrete job than on most. Every chunk goes through the same gate and over the same steps, so mention in the text how wide the gate is and whether there are stairs or a slope between the pile and the street. A second photo of that path helps.
Concrete jobs at rentals and commercial lots
A manager can set up a concrete haul by text. Send the photo and the address, and say who will open the gate or the lot.
That fits a rental just as well as broken parking blocks at a small commercial lot. Parking blocks go on the truck the same way as slab pieces, rebar pins and all. The pricing works the same way as at a house, with one number from the photo.
If tenants live on the property, a heads up about the work in the side yard keeps the path from the slab to the street clear of bikes and cars.
Where the concrete goes after it leaves
Each load is split by where it goes. Anything someone can still use goes to a donation center first. Metal comes out for recycling, and on a concrete job that means the rebar and wire mesh mixed in with the slab.
What is left goes to the transfer station or the landfill. If the tear-out also left roots and branches where the patio met the lawn, that green waste is its own kind of load, covered under yard waste removal.
The same sorting applies to a pile anywhere in the Central Valley towns Neal works.
