Bulky item pickup in Kerman
Big pieces carried out from where they sit, anywhere in Kerman and the Central Valley.
Bulky item pickup in Kerman is Neal hauling off one large piece, or a few, that won't fit in the trash cart. Kerman is home base, and the pickups reach across the Central Valley. Text a photo to (559) 815-0874 showing the piece where it stands. This job takes one heavy thing out of the house, like the sectional nobody can lift or the dead chest freezer that's been sitting in the garage since spring.
Homeowners call when the washer in the laundry room quit for good or the bunk beds the kids outgrew are still in the back room. Property managers call for the mattress or dresser a tenant left behind in an empty unit. Nobody needs to haul the thing out to the street ahead of time. He picks it up right where it stands, up a flight of stairs or out on the back patio. If a whole garage needs emptying instead, a garage cleanout is the better fit.
A bulky pickup also fits when one item is holding up everything else. New carpet can't go down with the old sleeper sofa still on the floor. A remodel stalls when the broken armoire is parked where the new kitchen cabinets are supposed to go. A photo of the piece is how Neal prices it, and nothing else in the house has to move. Clear the one piece and the rest of the project can start.

What counts as a bulky item
A bulky item is a piece too big for the weekly cart and too heavy to move alone. The usual call is for one or two of them. A recliner with a broken lever. A mattress and box spring after the new bed arrives. A refrigerator that quit out in the garage. An elliptical that's been holding laundry for a year.
A cleanout clears a room full of stuff, and a bulky pickup is about the weight of a single piece. Neal takes a short list of heavy things out the door, and the hard part is usually the carry. Mixed pickups work too, like a couch and a washer on the same trip. For anything not named here, the rundown of items Neal accepts goes further.
Often it's a swap. The new couch sits in the driveway while the old one still fills the living room, and nothing moves until it's gone.
How Neal gets a heavy piece out
It starts with a photo of the item where it sits. If there are stairs or a narrow hall on the way out, send a second shot of that too. Neal uses the pictures to price the job and to plan the carry before he gets there.
On pickup day, the piece leaves straight from the room it's in. Nobody has to wrestle a dresser down the steps first or leave a fridge on the driveway overnight. If a piece won't fit through a door the way it came in, say so in the text.
A property manager can set up a pickup at a rental or a vacant unit by text. Send the address and the photo, and say how Neal gets in, like a lockbox or a tenant who'll be home. Pickups run Monday to Saturday between 7 AM and 5 PM, with Sunday off.
What has to come out of the drawers first
Big furniture hides things. A dresser in the garage often has a can of paint or thinner in the bottom drawer. A cabinet from the laundry room might still hold old cleaning chemicals. Paint, solvents and chemicals can't ride along, so pull those out ahead of time. The same goes for a garage shelf unit still loaded with spray cans. Hazardous waste stays with the owner.
Any propane bottle or other pressurized tank is refused, so check under the grill. Firearms and ammunition can't go, so check the closet shelf and the nightstand before a bedroom set leaves. Medical waste and asbestos are refused as well. A quick look through every drawer saves a surprise at pickup. Mention anything you're unsure of in the text with the photo. Once the drawers are empty, the dresser goes like any other piece.
Where the couch and the fridge end up
Furniture that still works heads to a donation center before anything else. Plenty of bulky furniture is fine and just doesn't fit the new place. A solid wood dresser with a stuck drawer still has plenty of use in it.
Metal pieces and old appliances take the recycling route. That covers the dead refrigerator and the steel bed frame from the guest room. A metal patio set heads the same way. Some loads go through the transfer station.
What's really trash goes to the landfill. A recliner split down the seat or a particleboard dresser that came apart in the last move usually lands there. A box spring with a torn cover and a broken frame is usually the same story. The order is the same on every pickup. Donation comes first, and the landfill gets what's left.
What a single bulky pickup costs
The minimum is $85. One photo gets one number from Neal, and that number covers the whole job. The photo doesn't need to be fancy. A phone shot from the doorway works.
What sets it is the space the load fills on the truck. One armchair takes up a corner. A loveseat with a treadmill beside it takes a good bit more. Two small pieces can ride in the space one big one would take. The photo shows Neal how much of the trailer the job will fill.
Bulky jobs carry no add-ons. A flight of stairs or a long walk out from the backyard isn't billed as its own line. The page on what hauling a load costs around Kerman goes into more detail. Text a photo to (559) 815-0874.
